Capability: Transformation Life Cycles

Overview

All of the following life cycles describe the inputs, transformation activities and outputs for the specialist activities (non-management) for the enabling system. These types of life cycles are patterned using ISO 15288 or ISO 12207. The following life cycles are generally required for the enabling systems:

  • New Product Development
  • Capability change
  • Organizational Change
  • IT Capability change.
  • Process Change
New Product Development

New product development life cycle (an integrating life cycle).

Capability Change

Capability Change Life cycle (an integrating life cycle). Capabilities change the people, process and technology. These are generally associated with business change and transformation

Organizational Change

Organizational Change Life cycle (an integrating life cycle). This establishes new teams within the management system. (or a separate management system).
